Our business started 18 years ago with the requirements of the South African farmer, which is the key ingredient in developing farming machinery that meets their future needs.
We are young and dynamic team consisting of 50 people. The majority of our employees have begun at Monotec without any relevant experience, and gain their knowledge about building, designing or assembling agricultural equipment whilst working at Monotec.
We offer our employees a secure job in a fast expanding company, with great opportunity for personal and career development across all the departments.
We have recently built new premises in green surroundings, situated in Joostenberg Vlakte, just off the N1 (Stellenbosch / Klipheuwel turn off).

DRAUGHTSMAN TO DESIGN AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY
It is essential to have worked in an agricultural field or have come from a farming background – please do not apply to this position without it.
DUTIES:
Product design
Interact with sales team on product design & requirement
Interact with suppliers
Produce detailed workshop drawings
Oversee manufacture
YOU WILL BE ASSISTING WITH :
Hydraulic circuit design
Electronic circuit design
Rotational moulding process and mould making for PVC tanks
Ductile iron castings, mould making and foundry processes
Designing of welding jigs
YOU WILL COOPERATE WITH :
Five draughtsmen working on Solid Edge ST8
An assembly team of nine men
Two field technicians
Our country wide dealer network
REQUIREMENTS:
Agricultural Experience / farming background
Experience with farming machinery
Mechanical Degree or Diploma
Experience in 3D CAD-software
Thorough design skills
INTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Internal Sales of Agricultural Machinery
Preparation and management of quotations
Maintain and manage Client base
Maintain and manage documentation relating to machinery purchase
Coordinate delivery dates with all parties
Whole-good costing

Two field technicians

REQUIREMENTS:
Agricultural Experience / farming background
Afrikaans as a First Language is essential
Matric
Minimum of 2 years sales experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

BUYER & NEGOTIATOR FOR PARTS & COMPONENTS OF FARMING EQUIPMENT
This position is best suited for a technically minded individual.
DUTIES
Purchasing and setting guidelines for purchasing
Source products and negotiate prices
Manage systems pertaining to the ordering of goods
Presentation of reports
Maintain forecast software
Liaising with sales department with regards to trend changes
Review selling prices

REQUIREMENTS:
Technically minded
Matric
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar field
Excellent Afrikaans and English verbal and written communication skills

WORKSHOP MANAGER (PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT)

Work in production
Oversee workflow
Streamline processes
Jig & tooling design
Job scheduling and work allocation
Improve work quality
YOU WILL COOPERATE WITH :
Workshop team of eleven

REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant trade qualification and experience
Experience with staff management
Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
CAD skills are an advantage
JUNIOR ADMINISTRATOR
This position is best suited to a highly organised and goal orientated individual.
DUTIES:
Pastel GRV’s
Pastel invoicing
Stock ordering
Coordinating office procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
Excellent written and verbal language skills
Advanced Excel skills
